What this quote is trying to explain is that even though everyone around you is doing something that is not right that you should not do it because it is not the right thing to do. He is trying to explain that try to not fall in that place where you do things that are wrong and not right. By choosing the right you will not fall into this place of wrongness. Try to avoid anything that is bad small or big try to avoid it .
