I believe that the quote is trying to explain that what ever you do or make will lead you to a place that may or may not benefit you and your decisions in life. an example is that if you live a life that all you did was good deeds and many positive actions you will be rewarded with recognition and respect from the audience around you that you have been known for. if the life you live is just nothing but bad actions such as always fighting with family not cooperating in school well or in public by doing any type of criminal actions you will be sent to jail for that and you will have a bad reputation that people can see and wont respect you for what you have done. even if you have done any nice action the bad action will dominate the good therefore no one will notice or even remember the good you have done.maybe you didn't do anything good or bad that will still affect your life because you will blend in with the rest of the people and you wont really pop out or be noticed as well as the people that have done respectable and acknowledge able decisions in life.
